A Tubular bone casing tape which encases your bones separately from your fabric, making neat, trouble free bone channels.
This boning tape is excellent for 'skeleton' corsets, corsets with sheer fabrics, and for boning channels where you want a bit more substance between the bone and the fabric.
Also highly suitable for dressmaking when you are creating corsolette dress foundations, or strapless bodices or wedding dresses where you require a lovely smooth finish with no show through onto pale fabrics.
Particularly compatible with the rosebud coutil which is very fine and where paler colours can show a light grey shadow where the boning is.
The tape is made of very tightly woven viscose and is 16mm wide on the outside with an internal width of around 9mm which makes it suitable for bones up to 8mm wide. It is slightly mouldable by steam (in manner of wool) which makes it super good for curvy bits.
• 100% viscose • Easy to sew with lines marked either side to guide your stitches. • Priced per metre and available in black or white. • Mouldable with steam
