100% cotton coutil with a herringbone weave.

This corsetry coutil is stiff, strong, sturdy and very smooth with no give.  Use it in corset making with or without a separate fashion layer.  This herringbone coutil fabric can also be used as an interlining in bodices, as a backing for fashion fabric, or for making  a dress foundation corsolette, ie: in bridal wear.

As this coutil fabric is 100% cotton, it will readily accept dye to give a vibrant result in just about any colour.

This colour is sold by the textile merchant as a 'nude' or 'skin' colour but it's more like "American Tan" or as I prefer to describe it "Sand".  It's a good neutral colour for linings or toiles, or as a base for more nude colour projects with lace.

It looks particularly pretty when layered with a cream lace or other sheer net fabric.
