Superior quality, hard wearing brocade coutil fabric for corset making. This coutil is a cotton viscose mix and has a lovely bellflower brocade design.
This coutil is thin and crisp, yet soft and strong. It is very good on it's own as an underwear fabric, or as a pretty lining for a fashion corset. It also makes a very good waist training corset when used in combination with plain herringbone coutil to make a double layer corset. With that combination you get a lightweight corset which is extremely strong and durable.
The black bellflower design was once used by Alexander McQueen to make a beautiful gothic style frock coat.
I like this fabric for making training corsets in combination with a plain herringbone coutil for the lining. You still get a nice 'light' corset but with lots of strength.
Available as half a metre or in full metre lengths. If you order several metres it will be sent in one continuous length.
