The Butterfly Detachable Train is a separate garment which attaches to any exisiting skirt forming a bow or 'butterfly' at the back of the bodice and then falling gracefully to the floor in poufs.
This train was very popular from 1883-1887 but can be used with just as much relevance today for modern bridal or ball outfits. It is perfect for a wedding gown or for turning a floor length skirt/dress into an evening showpeice.
The large poufs at the back are created wth pleats at the centre back. These pleats are then placed over the lower edge of a long waisted bodice and hooked in place onto the bodice itself.
