continuous lengths of spring steel corset and hoop boning sold by the metre
This continuous powder coated flexible flat steel corset boning is made in Germany, and suitable for all corset making and costume making applications. It can be cut to length with a good pair of tin snips available from any hardware store. The ends should then be rounded with a file and sealed or tipped before use in corsetry.
The ends can then be tipped using metal or silicone endcaps or you can file the cut ends and wrap them with plumbers PTFE tape for a smoother finish. It's really easy!

very sturdy hoop steel for big projects - the hoop skirt in the picture below was made with this steel.
It is worth noting that the narrower the width, the 'thicker' the bone feels. ie: 13x0.40 steel boning feels much more flexible than 7x0.4 boning which then feels nearly as thick as 6x0.6 boning. If you need to check, please request samples here.
note: unless full rolls are ordered, we cannot send boning in more than 10m lengths.
