narrow polyester boning for dressmaking and crafts
Narrow rigiline boning made from polyester. This is used in dressmaking to firm up a bodice but it can be used to shape and strengthen panels already boned with metal. This finer width of boning can be used to add support in small places - I might use it at the side of a bust, or over a hip or anywhere which needs a bit of focussed horizontal or diaganol stiffening.
This boning is easy to cut with normal scissors and can be shaped with heat to make curves.
To shape ridgeline, iron and bend to the required curve. It's quite effective.
You can sew through it, and there are special silicone ends available to prevent the raw edges poking through your fabric.
