Corset Making Courses are regularly scheduled at at the Sew Curvy Studio in Oxfordshire which is easily accessible by road via the A40 and only 5 miles away from Oxford. Set amongst beautiful and tranquil woodland, there is free parking, a range of lovely accommodations nearby. Lunch, refreshments and cake are provided on each day.

Introduction to Corsetry |

click here for current dates A three day workshop where students will fit and construct a multi layer underbust corset using a neat professional technique which gives a smooth finish both sides without the need for a separate lining. On this course you will learn all about multi layer corset construction including how a corset works, the anatomy of a corset, suitable fabrics, turn of cloth, and fitting. Using a specially drafted Sew Curvy pattern, course attendees will come away with a beautiful, well crafted, shape altering garment which will be suitable for wear under or over clothes. |

click here for current dates A two day course for those wishing to begin exploring the exciting and deeply creative world of corset pattern drafting. The workshop will cover taking measurements, how the measurements relate to the body and the pattern, and how to transfer those measurements onto paper to create a beautiful shape altering garment. Fitting will be covered in detail and by the end of the course you will be ready to create your own, bespoke corset, from proper corsetry materials and fashion fabric. |

Sparklewren Masterclass - Pattern manipulation Dates TBC |

Dates on request - for groups of 3-5 people. A one day workshop suitable for groups and hen parties for those wishing to create something simple, sexy, fun and wearable! The workshop will use a pattern to create a simple but effective 50's style waspie from brocade or satin fabric. The finished waspie will reduce your waist size by 2 inches and will be embellished with a lace ribbon closure. |
